If you've been reading this blog for awhile, you've seen the posts about my travels with the film crew to direct and produce the Sovereign Grace Ministry Presentation. I'm pleased to announce that the first of three films is now online -- Building in Germany. It's the story of about the Arche Church
in Hamburg, Germany, a church that is endeavoring to restore the
preaching of the gospel in the land where the Reformation began. In
2007, Arche Church, led by senior pastor Wolfgang Wegert, sent Wolfgang's son, Christian Wegert, to attend the Sovereign Grace Pastors College.
The film is about the family's spiritual heritage (including a poignant anti-Nazi scene) and how the Pastors College is serving their mission in Germany and beyond. You can also see two short bonus interviews with more stories about the Wegert family. It's a multilingual presentation--this 8-minute film is available in English or with Spanish or German subtitles. I hope you'll check it out
because I've never really moved on from the show-and-tell function of kindergarten. I love this stuff!
Props to everyone who worked so hard on these films: Andrew Gallo (Director of Photography/Editor, Brainbox Productions); Drew Painter (camera operator/gaffer, from Brainbox); David Altrogge and Michael Hartnett (camera operators, Vinegar Hill Picture Works); John David Maresco (assistant camera/grip); Roger Hooper (original score, Roger Hooper Music); Dallas Taylor (sound design and audio mix, DeFacto Sound); Michael Thompson and Stefanie Holt (German translation and subtitles); and Silvia Fajardo Gross (Spanish subtitles).

Thanks for sharing the missions clips on your blog. Our family that is now based in Germany really appreciates to see all that God is doing through your church and their missions focus. It is also a reminder to those of us living here, in the land where reformation happened. It is such a burden on our hearts as to what the Lord would have us do while here. We are originally from Kenya and so we are looking forward to see the Ethiopia clip, they are the northern neighbors.
