So it's Monday. And it's the last week of daylight savings time. As we descend into the dark of winter (at least here in the northern hemisphere), I think we need some humor to kick off the week.
A friend of mine recently sent me a link to a blog written by Angie Smith, wife of Todd Smith of the music group, Selah. It was a hilarious story about how her daughters "helped" her to decorate their new house just before a dinner party. I was hiccupping with laughter after I read it. I won't spoil the story -- you'll have to check it out. But after that post, Angie decided to run another funny kid story contest from her readers. This was one of my favorites:
Thank God for the gift of humor!
We have a friend who's family sings grace before meals. One meal time her 2 year old daughter asked to sing 'the one about the goats.' Slightly puzzled, my friend asked her which one she meant. 'You know Mummy, the Father, the Son and the Holy Goats'!

Carolyn, I have to share this. I was teaching a Sunday School class of 4 and 5 year olds. We were coloring, and Allison said she was drawing God. "I'm using yellow, because yellow is the color of God," she said.
"Why, Allison?"
"Because God is the Son and the Sun is yellow."
Then Justin piped in. "Yellow's not the color of God. GRAY is."
I looked at him, puzzled. "Justin, why do you think God is gray?"
Justin replied, emphatically, "Because we're ALWAYS singing, 'How GRAY is our GOD!'"
I am absolutely not making this up. It was three years ago, and to this day, I laugh every time I remember it!
Thanks for the laugh!!
