When you write a book published by a Christian company, it's a real thrill to find out that people outside the expected church readership are interested in your book. Lately I've received a handful of emails from women saying that their non-Christian colleagues or commuting friends want to read Radical Womanhood, too. I hoped that would happen, but I still smile with delight to find out that indeed it has!
I also received emails from two friends I met through their staff work for Campus Crusade (shout out here to Diane Martinelli and Heidi Michaelian!), asking about placing a bulk order for Christmas. They want to give a copy to each of the women they are mentoring. That was such a great idea that I asked my publisher, Moody, if they would be willing to arrange a special discount for this purpose. They graciously agreed to do it.
So if you have a women's Bible study or discipleship group and you are interested in doing the same thing, you are welcome to join Diane and Heidi in this venture. Moody is offering a 37% discount off the MSRP for orders of 10 books or more--better than Amazon! Shipping and any applicable taxes apply. This offer is good through December 31, 2008. To place your order, call 1-888-678-8812 or email mporders@moody.edu.
I am also working on a free small-group discussion guide to accompany this book, which I hope to post online in the new year.
Greetings from Oklahoma!
I've only recently come across your blog and enjoy it immensely! I had not read it enough to know you had a book written and published. I would be interested in where to find it if you have a second to let me know. Thanks much!

Do you know what the shipping rates are? I was considering a group purchase. I believe the books will be $9.45 each ($10.19 on Amazon). But shipping is free on Amazon with 3 or more books so the shipping rate is a factor to consider. I just ordered this book last night to look it over as a possible book for our ladies' group, so this was a timely post for me!

Carolyn, I am slowly working through Radical Womanhood. Why slowly? I want to learn, absorb, and remember what you have written. Thank you for writing so well. I have learned a tremendous amount about history and really wish you had been one of my high school history teachers. I, too, am on staff with Crusade and have told all of my teammates they need to read the book. I have a waiting list for my copy but am about to tell them all to just go buy the book. In the midst of learning, I have also been challenged and that is my favorite part. Thank you for all your hard work and obedience in bringing this book to life.

Hi there. I've been reading your blog for a while now, and I wish I could have grabbed a copy of your book while I was in the US. Hopefully I'll find a copy somewhere else in the world. I'm currently working through Feminism: Mystique or Mistake? at the moment. It's been good so far. I'll be in Ethiopia in a few weeks and will hopefully check out the Sovereign Grace church there.. It sounded great from your blogs and other things I've read about SG online.
