Greetings from Phoenix and its 100-degree summer temparatures! I'm here for a week attending the ONE Institute, which is a Christian business leadership institute hosted by the partners of Marketplace ONE. It's an incredible privilege to part of the institute for a number of reasons -- including the fact that on Monday we sat under the teaching of theologian Wayne Grudem and economist Barry Asmus. Drs. Grudem and Asmus gave us an overview of modern economic history and Christian philosophy of business.
I think my head is going to pop off with all that I learned.
But one of the great privileges of being here was the opportunity to meet Dr. Grudem's wife, Margaret. I have heard about her for years and even asked Wayne to write about a pivotal moment in their marriage for the foreword of Radical Womanhood. But we had never met before. Now I can introduce them to you all through a video interview they did with Mark Driscoll for the Resurgence blog. They have been married for 41 years, so there is much to be gleaned from their experience and hard-won wisdom. I highly encourage you to watch!

Very good. We have just watched this together. We have been married 29 years, having met before we were Christians; we became Christians together, and five years later got married. Like them we are now empty nesters, and terribly grateful for our three children and for the Lord, and all that He is and has done for us!

Would love to be in a small group with these two fun people!
