Autumn has just brought in its cooler temperatures in the D.C. area where I live, but this week I'm up in Michigan where autumn is in all its glory. I'm here for the week to participate in filming panel discussions for the Bible study curriculum that accompanies the forthcoming book from Mary Kassian and Nancy Leigh DeMoss, True Woman 101: Divine Design.
It's a real treat to spend the week with good friends as we talk about how God works through us as women to become more conformed to the image of Christ. Though I prefer to be behind the camera, this week I'm watching another crew do the hard work of lighting and recording our conversations.
If you'd like to follow along, Erin Davis is live-blogging what's going on over at the Lies Young Women Believe blog. Her first entry is already up, "Lights, Camera, Action." Erin is one of the panelists, along with Nancy, Mary, Holly Elliff, Kimberly Wagner, Dannah Gresh, Karen Lorritts, and myself.
Erin is now up for the second panel recording this morning. We are monitoring the various sessions from the Green Room, which includes watching the prep and off-camera conversations between recordings. Erin, the mother of two toddlers, just made us all laugh when she said: "Do you realize that I spend the majority of my day fishing Spaghetti-Os and PopTarts from my hair, and here I have someone actually doing my hair and makeup?!"
Yep, we're having a good time here. I hope the fun translates to the final videos!
I'm excited for this book & Bible study curriculum to release! Thanks for the news.
